Befikre Movie Review Ranveer Singh Vaani Kapoor

Befikre

Befikre is the same old story with the so called new generation tadaka.

BefikreLive-In relationship is the new trend Bollywood is following. Everyone seems to be running after this concept and same with Aditya Chopra with Befikre. To have the concept in place, first you have to move the base of the story out of India and do all the so called “advance” and “Cool” things with it; the live-in, drinking and smooching. Befikre based in Paris with overdose of all the cool things fails with story and execution as well.

You will find many movies based on the concept where the couple start with a non commitment relationship and ultimately become a part of each other’s life. Although they call it love, for me it’s a habit and love remains unexplored. The subject was cliché, the treatment was not so extraordinary making Befikre an ordinary movie.

The film starts with the kissing song by Papon set the things right as what we are going to watch in the next 2 hrs. Dharam (Ranveer Singh) comes to Paris from Delhi as a Standup Comedian for an Indian Bar being run by his friend. Looking for girls everywhere he gets bumped into Shyra (Vaani Kapoor), an Indian born and brought up in Paris. They start a live-in relationship with no commitment and break-up after some time. Not sure why they call it Break-Up when it was a “No-Commitment Relationship”. As the movie need to run, Dharam and Shyra keeps on bumping to each other and this time they decided to be friends. Rest is the story of movie like – “Mere Yaar Ki Shadi Hai” if you have seen this love story produced by Aditya Chopra.  Aditya Chopra has tried to give a new look to his same old story and failed miserably.

Shyra wants to get settled marks the entry of the new guy in her life. The jealous Dharam also got a girl and decided to marry her on same date Shyra is getting married. During the ceremonies they realised the love for each other and their dramatic escape from the venue will make you feel pity for Aditya Chopra as he suddenly move from the mood of “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” to “Housefull”.

Befikre marks the return of Aditya Chopra in to Direction and the result will keep him away from Direction. Ranveer Singh is loud and cheeky throughout the movie, Vaani Kapoor having good figure has got enough chance to showcase it.
